Chop, Chop, Chop

The government's coming after Chris's pay...

We got notices that are going to result in about $1,800 being cut PER MONTH.  I don't know how they can do that and how his job sector is receiving the brunt of the cuts, but they are partially going into effect now and the rest are slated for April 7.  Trying to cut that much from our budget seems impossible, I started with our biggest expediture that can be cut and that's eating out.  Add cuts to cable, home phone, miscellaneous expenses and increases in income from people who owe us money and it might be doable.  Time will tell I guess.  Taxes and church giving will be decreased too since those are based on percentages.

Well, I am happy we just redid our bedroom and bought living room furniture, so hopefully the house is set for awhile.  Gonna be an interesting year, financial wise.  Thank God we paid off our home about 10 years ago -- one of the best decisions we ever made.

How am I gonna not eat out?????

This is from Phil's BBQ that recently opened close by.  The sammie was delicious... pork with cole slaw.  The sides not so much.  I have to cook more now?  Ugh!  Ally said she's rather go bankrupt than stop eating out.  HA!

Ally's anatomy class at college is kicking her bootie.  But I think she is getting a handle on it... we've had some late night study sessions... glad I'm done with school!  Chris had some anatomy flashcards from when he was interested in training, so those have come in handy.

Cute as Can Be

Chris had patrol on the beach the other night and this little critter crawled under his truck and hung out there.  We weren't sure if he was just resting, or lost, or injured.  We ended up calling Sea World and they came out to evaluate and ended up taking him back to Sea World for a couple months to feed, rehydrate, and restore health.  What a cutie!  I was so jealous I didn't get to be there.  But Ally had a skit at church -- otherwise we would ditched church... haha!  Sea World is supposed to contact us in a couple months about the release, and we might get to go watch.  That would be cool!

A lot of the country is putting up with cold and snow -- but not us!  That's the sunshine tax paying off.  Here is what we see pulling out of our drive every day.  Love it!

Amy's job is still going great -- she got her first paycheck, which pretty much went to me, as they all will for awhile.  There's no free ride in our home... it's payback time for Mamacita!

Anatomy is kicking Ally's booty in college.  Right now she is trying to redeem herself on the upcoming test over bones of the body.  She not only has to know all their names, but the particulars of each bone... facets, ridges, and a bunch more stuff I can't even say.  The teacher will pull out 25 bones and she will have to identify the bone and all the characteristics.

Glad I don't have to go to school anymore!
