In the Word

Ally has joined me in reading through the Bible... I am on my second time through, and I think she got jealous of all my Starbucks trips which is where I do the majority of my reading and study for my ladies' group. Here's a pic of her with her studious glasses taking a break at Starbucks. We're having a lot of fun and good discussions.

I tried candy apples again, much better, but I need to look for a candy apple flavoring... these were cinnamon. Good, but a bit hot, even though this time I only used a fourth of the bottle instead of the entire bottle.

I'm helping our youth group make these chocolate gifts for a Mother's Day fundraiser...

I'm Baaaaaaaaaack

Yeah, got caught up in spring break and been super busy... almost everyone I created this blog for is on Facebook now, so I don't know how long I will keep this blog going...

Had the largest earthquake we have ever felt... a 7.2 about 100 miles away. We were all freaked out, and I've felt at least six pretty large aftershocks. Several things fell off shelves, but nothing broke and no major damage. It lasted about 40 seconds -- time enough to run around freaking out. I could only get on Facebook to post to the fam that all was fine... my phone wouldn't send calls or texts for awhile due to overload.

Had a nice two week break from the usual routine and school. Ally and I went camping for two nights with friends out at Squaw Lake/Senator's Wash area. Had fun, but my back didn't take the drive well. I am just not a roughin' in kinda girl... give me a hotel, a Starbucks, and a massage any day!

Amy fractured her elbow skateboarding, in fact the first day she got her new skateboard. She's been in a sling for a couple weeks, but heads back to light duty at work next week.


Ally and I went to the Wild Animal Park, she got some awesome photos and posted them on Facebook.
