On A Mission

On hot days we like to head down to Mission Bay for some paddle boarding and kayaking.

I like the Bay because the wind and waves are calmer and I'm not gonna run into a whale or big shark (hopefully)... mostly sea lions and birds.  Hope to see some dolphins some time too.

This is one of my favorite things to do.  The sea lions are so close... last time we went they were feeding and scooping up fish all around us.  Plus when it's close to a hundred degrees in Lakeside, it's more like 75 or 80 on the water.  After falling off a paddle board thanks to Ally's friend knocking me in, I choose the kayak!

See the Lightning -- Be the Thunder!

Finally football season has arrived and we are starting to use the season tickets that we got Chris for a gift.

The Chargers have a new head coach, but I'm still not holding my breath... ha!

We do like Rivers though and got to see the Chargers at training camp at a season ticket holder only day.  It was hot that day!  Love going to the games regardless of win or lose -- so I guess that's good.

San Diego is very patriotic with all the military stationed here, so there's always lots of military appreciation stuff going on at the game.

Go Bolts!

On another note -- Ally has her first real boyfriend.  His name is Mark and we like him a lot.  He is twenty, works at Starbucks, and is a tech intern at 7 San Diego Church.  She went to school with him her freshmen year and then ran into him at the Starbucks he works at which is by our church (where Ally also works at the preschool).
