Mr. D's

I work for Mr. D's Painting, Inc. and we just started a new corporation Mr. D's Construction Services of San Diego, Inc.  There is so much paperwork and filing involved that I have been super busy the last couple weeks.  A lot of it one time filings and projects, but it has taken a ton of time.  I've been putting in some extra hours which is nice for the ol' paycheck.  Plus I like to be busy.  Here's pic Chris took of his view at work the other morning.  WOW!

I always post pics of Ally playing volleyball -- I finally got one of me.  It's just a serve, but still it "serves" as proof that I do play.  HA!

I've been making lots of my own products lately to save money and cut down on the wasteful and possibly harmful stuff in a lot of products.  Now, I'm the last person in the world who would ever think I would become what I always labeled as a "tree hugger."  But the more I read about the harmful effects of stuff, the more I want to change.  Next on my list is most likely artificial sweetener and food dye.  Blech.  Here is some laundry detergent I made with just soap, washing soda, and borax.  It only takes ONE TABLESPOON to wash a load of laundry and so far it seems to do the job.  Comes out to like 4 cents a load!  Today I am going to try to make some liquid dish soap.  Cleaning products are such a rip off when it comes to cost!  I get a lot of ideas off Pintrest.  As I run out of something, I try to find a DIY recipe.

Game On!

Played my first Bunco game.  It was a fundraiser for Women's Ministry at the church.  I did awful and didn't win any categories, but it was fun.  Probably not something I would go out of my way to do very often like some people, but Ally went too, and we had a good time.

I love Ally... she comes to work with me sometimes so she can focus on studying without all the interruptions of working at home.  And then when she needs a break, she goes and gets us Starbucks.  Ahhhh!

We finally got our bed!!!  I'm still making up my mind if I it is too firm for me.  It does have a nice topper on it, but I still think it's a bit firm.  I think I could be a little more comfy if it was softer.  We have a 90 day trial period to make up our minds.  The topper is built in, and I think they make another topper that could be placed over the mattress.  Chris has a call in to the mattress company now.  Their customer service has not impressed me thus far.  We were told 2 to 3 weeks when we ordered the bed and it took almost 6!

It's a king size and it is PLENTY big enough!
