The Good Life

Just hangin' out this summer -- commitments are down and relaxation is up... I think this photo of my kitties from the weekend just about says it all.

Not much happening... Chris continues to fly, Ally continues to guard life, Amy continues to learn about hair, I continue to manage.

A photographer came to Amy's cosmetology school and took some pics.

Supposed to be hot and humid this week, I will just continue to sip my fraps and stay in the A/C.  We don't know what our vacation will be this year.  Was thinking about a trip up north to Idaho and various places on the way back down, but with Ally working we might postpone vacation until the fall.  Would love to see Ohio's leaves in the fall, but Ally wants to go there for snow.  We might give it all up and do a staycation -- can you tell I'm unmotivated?

He's a What? He's a What?

He's a Music Man!  Love this musical and last week Frank and Thel visited from Sedona, and we saw Lamb's Players Theater put on their production of The Music Man.  Brought back so many memories from when we put it on in high school.  I was an usher for the play in high school, so I probably saw it 15 or more times, so I know all the songs.

We had a great time shopping, goofing off, eating, going to the movies... some places we only eat at when they are in town for some reason.  One is City Deli -- a great Jewish deli up in Hillcrest, which is an interesting area of town to say the least.  They have "erotic desserts" listed on their menu, but I'm too scared to ask.  And vibrant?  Definitely!

We also ate at our favorite Coronado restaurant, Peohe's.  Not easy on the budget -- we usually try to go there for lunch.  This time we ate later in the day -- $26.00 for ravioli?  Okay, it was lobster ravioli and it was delish -- but still.

I made these chocolates, and we ate them all up at the table at Peohe's (there were eight of us).
